RecOps Consultant & Community Lead , Ashby
Shannon Ogborn likes to consider herself a recovering recruiter, but has stayed close to the space through her role as Community and Recruiting Advisory Lead at Ashby, where she supports recruiting teams through community building and education.
Before moving into marketing, Shannon worked as a Recruiting Operations Consultant at Ashby, partnering with customers to strengthen their processes and use data storytelling to drive impact. She also built her career in recruiting and talent operations at companies like Google, Hired, and several high-growth startups, giving her firsthand experience with the same challenges talent professionals navigate every day.
Today, as host of the Offer Accepted podcast, lead of the Ashby Customer Experts (ACE) user groups, and manager of the Ashby RecOps community, she brings together recruiting operators, leaders, and innovators shaping the future of hiring. Shannon is passionate about building trust, spotlighting real stories, and fueling the conversations that move the talent industry forward while staying grounded in her operator roots.
In a shifting hiring landscape shaped by AI, evolving team structures, and changing candidate expectations, talent leaders are being asked to rethink the roles and responsibilities within their organizations. From recruiting coordinators to recruiters and middle management, clarity in responsibilities is critical for efficiency, collaboration, and candidate experience.
This session blends a concise trend overview with a hands-on, collaborative workshop. Attendees will leave with fresh perspectives, peer-driven insights, and a tangible artifact they can bring back to their teams.
