Start Day 2 with Fresh Air and Community: Run with RecOps
Kick off Day 2 of RecOps Con with movement, fresh air, and meaningful conversation! Run with RecOps is a casual, community-paced group run along Chicago’s scenic Lakefront Trail. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just want to get your blood flowing before breakfast, this is a perfect way to connect with fellow attendees in a relaxed, non-conference setting. No pressure—just sneakers, smiles, and good company.
We’ll meet in the Palmer House Hilton lobby at 7:00 AM sharp and head east to Grant Park, following the Lakefront Trail on an out-and-back route. The total run distance will be around 3–4 miles, with options for shorter turnarounds.

- Starting Point: Palmer House Hilton, 17 East Monroe Street, Chicago, IL
- Route: East on Monroe Street to Grant Park, then north along the Lakefront Trail
- Distance: Approximately 3–4 miles round trip
- Terrain: Paved, flat, and scenic path along Lake Michigan
📍 Route Details
- Start at Palmer House Hilton: Exit the hotel and head east on Monroe Street toward Grant Park.
- Enter Grant Park: Proceed toward the lakefront to reach the beginning of the Lakefront Trail.
- Lakefront Trail: Turn north onto the trail, enjoying views of Lake Michigan and the Chicago skyline. Choose your distance—longer to North Avenue Beach (~2 miles) or shorter as preferred.
- Return: Retrace your steps back to the Palmer House Hilton, soaking in the morning air and scenery.
This route offers scenic views, flat terrain suitable for all fitness levels, and a great chance to bond with fellow attendees before the conference day begins.
